Summary: R Suresh (RS) is a dominant player in the Executive Search and HR space in India. He is arguably the most visible and established name in the Executive Search space. He founded and established Stanton Chase as a premier search firm in India. After 14 years of being at the helm of Stanton Chase in India as MD he sold the firm to a large Asian conglomerate. He now heads INSIST, a global research based Executive Search firm and operates out of INSIST’s Mumbai office.   Achievements as an Entrepreneur: He floated two companies: one, People-one which was a temporary staffing company which employed 50K people on its rolls before it was sold to a 20 Bn USD global staffing company, Adecco in the year 2007. The second company which he founded was Stanton Chase which was a franchisee of global network called Stanton Chase International. In 14 years, Stanton Chase attained top 3 ranking in India. He subsequently sold the company to an Asian conglomerate, Recruit. With these two major entrepreneurial successes of establishing, growing into industry leading position and exits, makes him one of the rare entrepreneurs in HR space to have done it twice in India.   Professional successes: He has been associated with more than 140 Indian and MNC corporations advising them on Board & Governance Practices, Organization Strategy and Leadership Capital areas. Individually he has the credit of advising a slew of succession planning and board appointments in the country. He has been an integral part of managing turnarounds of portfolio companies of global PE firms in India. Prior to Consulting, he had corporate experience with Amco Batteries, Kirloskar Electric and Colgate-Palmolive in the traditional IE, Projects and Manufacturing functions.   Social interests: On the social front, he contributes to the development of medical diagnostics and clinical testing facilities in rural areas in South India. There is one hospital in each village in which infrastructure has been built and free services are provided for the local population. He wants to grow this activity into a big chain in the next 5 years.   Sports & Hobbies: He played cricket for Bangalore XI in 1980s. He now is a regular member in the senior tennis circuit in India. He has run 35 Half Marathons over the past 12 years in India and Internationally.   Education: BE (Mech) + PGDIE (NITIE).
